Minor Home Repair Program
The Minor Home Repair Program is available to qualifying low—and moderate-income homeowners who need assistance with necessary, eligible home repairs. For approved applicants, the program will provide up to $15,000 of assistance for an eligible repair. The funding limit may be increased up to $25,000 for a new roof.
Regulatory information regarding LEAD-BASED PAINT
If your home was built before 1978, you may have lead-based paint on, or in your home. This program is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Housing rehabilitation and home improvement programs that receive funds from HUD are now required to determine if lead-based paint hazards exist in homes receiving assistance. If you choose to participate in this program, you should be aware that your home may be inspected and possibly tested for lead-based paint and possible lead-based paint hazards. Per HUD’s regulatory requirements, if lead-based paint hazards are found in your home, they must be addressed if you choose to receive assistance through this program.
