BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The City of Battle Creek has determined that a rehabilitation project proposed for 614 Capital Ave NE will have no significant impact on the human environment and will not require an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.
The project involves rehabilitating a five-to-six-unit residential building to improve safety, energy efficiency, and overall livability. This rehabilitation will provide housing for low-income and moderate-income tenants, with an estimated funding amount of $297,860.05 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
Additional project information is available in the Environmental Review Record (ERR) on file at Battle Creek City Hall, which can be examined or copied on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Written comments on the ERR may be submitted to the City of Battle Creek. All comments received by January 31, 2025, will be considered before authorizing the release of CDBG funds.
