BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Battle Creek Police Department invites the community to celebrate Halloween early at the 13th annual Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m.
This free, family-friendly event will take place at Bailey Park, 1392 Capital Ave. NE. Police staff and volunteers will hand out candy in the parking lot in front of C.O. Brown Stadium, near the main entrance off Eaton Street. Visitors may park in this lot and walk over to enjoy the festivities.
Community members who wish to support the event can donate to the Battle Creek Police Department Law Enforcement Community Education Community Project Fund, a fund of the Battle Creek Community Foundation:
Battle Creek Community Foundation
32 W. Michigan Ave., Suite 1 Battle Creek, MI 49017
Please remember that the City of Battle Creek does not regulate Halloween. The holiday falls on Friday, Oct. 31 this year, and trick-or-treating hours are at the discretion of individual neighborhoods. Families are encouraged to celebrate safely by:
- Traveling in groups
- Using flashlights or glow sticks after dark
- Wearing reflective clothing
- Visiting homes with outdoor lights on
We appreciate the community’s continued support and look forward to seeing everyone at the event.
