BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Battle Creek Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Friday afternoon.
At approximately 3:17 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, officers responded to a crash on East Columbia Avenue at the M-66 overpass. LifeCare Ambulance and the Battle Creek Fire Department also responded.
Police say a 52-year-old man was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Columbia Avenue when he struck the rear of a vehicle in front of him. A second collision occurred shortly afterward. The motorcyclist died at the scene from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. No additional details are available at this time.
