BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – A 32-year-old Battle Creek man is in stable condition after being stabbed multiple times early Friday near Michigan Avenue and Division Street.
Police were called to the area shortly after 1 a.m. and found the man with multiple stab wounds. Investigators said the incident began as an argument involving three people. When the victim tried to leave, he was chased and stabbed several times. The suspects fled the scene and have not been located.
The victim was taken to a hospital in the Kalamazoo area. Police believe the incident was isolated.
Battle Creek Police were assisted at the scene by LifeCare Ambulance and the Battle Creek Fire Department.
