The Battle Creek Police Department has confirmed that the missing 57-year-old Battle Creek man was located safe in the 800 block of West Columbia Avenue by a Battle Creek neighbor late yesterday evening, Thursday, Aug. 15.
The Battle Creek neighbor bought the missing man food at a local restaurant, and then stood by until the BCPD arrived. The missing man was found in good condition and did not need any medical treatment. The man was returned safely back to his residence.
We appreciate all of our neighbors who aided in sharing information during this missing person incident.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Police are asking for the community’s assistance in locating a missing person this evening, Thursday, Aug. 15.
The missing person, identified as a 57-year-old white man, is believed to have a diminished mental capacity.
The missing man was last seen near 10 W. Bidwell St.
Other identifying information for the missing man includes:
- Height: 6 ft.
- Weight: 240 lbs.
- Facial features: Bald, goatee, with scabs on his face and head
- Last seen wearing: Navy-blue button shirt and navy-blue shorts
