Other information: Engine 4, Rescue 6, and Car 3 were dispatched to a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck, with injuries. 

Engine 4 arrived to find a lone motorcycle occupant on the ground with serious injuries. The 26-year-old Battle Creek man was wearing a helmet.

The man was traveling east on Columbia Avenue and struck a box truck. Responders believe speed was a factor.

Engine 4, Rescue 6, and LifeCare Ambulance provided patient care. The man was alert when first responders transported him to Kalamazoo; we have no current condition update. No other injuries were reported from the crash.
