Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 33 Oneita St. 

Rescue 2 arrived within two minutes to find a rubbish pile burning against the outside of the home. Rescue 2 quickly extinguished the fire while Engine 5 checked for extension. The fire was contained to the outside of the home, with no injuries reported. 

The fire is suspicious and the fire marshal is working with the Battle Creek Police Department to determine its cause. Anyone who might have information that could help in this case should call Fire Administration at 269-966-3521.
