Cross Country Skiing


Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking are available in the City of Battle Creek’s park system and are great fun and fitness for winter. For the best skiing, visit Leila Arboretum, Binder Park Golf Course, or Woodland Park Nature Preserve or simply traverse the Linear Park.

Winter Sports Park

Is your family looking for a destination for winter activities? Join us at Binder Park Golf Course for some fun! Activities include: sledding, tubing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, etc.  NOTE: Equipment will be available for use and warming house will be open only Saturdays and Sundays.

Times: Saturdays (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Sunday (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

Sledding


Sledding is a great way to spend a crisp winter morning or afternoon. It’s an exhilarating outdoor activity for all ages. Great sledding is available at Leila Arboretum, McCrea Park (by the water towers), and Piper Park.

Ice Fishing

Don’t let the cold weather keep you indoors. Get out and catch some fish! Ice fishing is fun for all ages and offers great outdoor opportunities to connect with others. Ice fishing is available on Goguac Lake when conditions are appropriate.

Safety

Be sure to exercise caution and follow appropriate safety procedures when participating in winter sports to ensure that everyone has a fun and safe experience.
