One of the more unique facilities in the park system, Woodland Park Nature Preserve, located on the west side of Helmer Road just south of Gethings intersection, allows visitors to reconnect with nature while traversing over 3 miles of unimproved trails through beautiful natural settings.  Ideal for walking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter.  Woodland Park is a peaceful, serene getaway in the midst of our urban environment.  Woodland Park Nature Preserve is accessible from two parking locations, on Helmer Road and Gethings Road.
